From September 4 to October 10, 2018, the Ministry of justice, the Fund of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and RSE “National Institute of Intellectual Property” held Republican competitions:
The goals and objectives of these competitions are to promote knowledge in the field of intellectual property among schoolchildren, to instill the basis of patent culture and to explain the importance of invention and patenting in building an economically prosperous state.
In the contest for the best essay “The Future is in your hands: invent and create!” took part 11th-grade students of the Nazarbayev Intellectual school in Taraz Yulduz Khalmukhamedova and Aruzhan Keneshbekova. Theme composing they called “The Future is in your hands: come up and become a creator”.
– In the essay we wrote about our project on obtaining magnetic powder from the waste of the metal construction plant in the industry. We wanted to show that the implementation of the project will bring great benefits to the country in connection with the prospects of the use of magnetic powder in the world. We have great opportunities and it is important to use them correctly for the development of our country and the world as a whole, – shared one of the authors of the work Aruzhan.
31 October, 2018 by the decision of the online voting of the Committee members, the essay of Yulduz and Aruzhan won the first place.
Noting the importance of this competition, the 11th grade student Yulduz stressed: “This competition not only gave us the opportunity to protect our project, but also motivated us to do it even harder. I think that was the purpose of the contest. After the award ceremony, we had a meeting with the Minister of justice Marat Beketayev. He gave us very valuable advice that inspired us to be even more confident to act, to work for the realization of our dreams.We are very grateful to the organizers for the opportunity given”.
It is important to note that more than 500 essays in the state, Russian and English languages from all cities and regions of Kazakhstan in the age group 8-11 grades were submitted to the competition. The works of the contestants were evaluated according to the following criteria:
