Educational Component of Education

In Intellectual Schools, a unified system of educational work has been established. Principles, main directions, and key approaches in organizing educational work have been defined.

According to the “Development Strategy for 2011-2020” of the Republican State Enterprise “Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools,” the educational system of Intellectual Schools is aimed at fostering Kazakh patriotism, civic responsibility, and the development of independent, highly moral individuals dedicated and caring for the benefit of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the world as a whole.

The main objectives of the educational work in Intellectual Schools include fostering students’ understanding and application of moral, universal, and national values (honor, dignity, integrity, respect), taking responsibility for their actions, continuous reflection on life, the need and ability to listen and consider their own opinions, and connecting them with the opinions of others.

To improve the local community, students are involved in social projects, immersed in situations of emotional empathy for people, Kazakh society, and the world. Developing the research and creative activities of students is seen as a way to promote academic trajectory development.

The main directions of the educational work in Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools are:

– Patriotic education;

– Intellectual development;

– Moral education;

– Physical and mental development;

– Intercultural development;

– Artistic and aesthetic development;

– Leadership development.

Educational values of Intellectual Schools reflect the 7 values of the national idea “Mangilik Yel.” Therefore, the main feature of the organization of educational work is value-oriented learning. The integrity of the educational process is realized through a value-oriented approach to educating students, shaping values and skills both in the classroom and in extracurricular activities.

The education of a highly moral individual is primarily carried out through the educational potential of the Integrated Educational Program and subjects. In the Integrated Educational Program, the educational component is strengthened based on the principle of a holistic educational process: to cultivate a friendly, supportive learning environment.

In the long-term, medium-term, and short-term academic plans, teachers build education through educational goals, forming values in accordance with the expected learning outcomes.

Another feature of educational work in Intellectual Schools is the expansion of knowledge and skills of students in various directions through additional education and extracurricular activities. Circles and activities based on interests (sports, arts, intellectual, technical) are offered for the creative, physical, and intellectual development of students. In addition, a series of extracurricular and elective courses are provided in the country and abroad based on the best educational and research organizations in the natural-mathematical direction. Social projects and practices hold special importance in the implementation of educational work in Intellectual Schools.

The involvement of all Intellectual School staff in the educational process and the school’s collaboration with parents are essential conditions for successful educational work. Students realize their versatile development and creative potential through the school community “Shanyrak,” local history research expeditions “Tugan Yelge Tagzym,” “100 Books Recommended for Intellectual School Students,” “2 Weeks in the Village,” “10 Days at Parents’ Enterprises,” “TEDx,” “Wikipedia,” “Service to Society,” “Kazakh Songs,” “Leadership Lessons,” and others.
