The project “100 Books Recommended for Reading by Students of Intellectual Schools” is aimed at supporting trilingual education, studying the history and culture of one’s own people, and fostering tolerance towards other cultures through reading literature in Kazakh, Russian, and English languages. The goal of the project is to instill a love for books and reading through various activities.
As part of the initiative by the Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools Public Association, a list of 100 books has been prepared for the students of Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools. The list includes 60 well-known works of Kazakh classical literature and 40 masterpieces of world literature.
Within the project, audio anthologies and electronic versions of the books will be specially prepared. Students will create their own drawings and illustrations inspired by the readings. Some short stories will be narrated by the students themselves, and then electronic and audio books will be made freely available on the website www.iKitap.kz. Each work will be presented in its original language.
As part of the “100 Books” project, students will explore the “iBooks Author” program and learn to independently create electronic books.
