On October 1, 2018, the TEDx conference entitled “I love what I do and do what I love” was held at the Nazarbayev Intellectual school of Taraz.

Students of the school and invited guests represented by Burkitbayeva Zhanar Kasymbaevna – an individual entrepreneur, and Orazmetov Yernar Zhikibayevich – the chef of the teahouse “Kish-Mish” in Taraz were the speakers of the conference.

The organizer of TEDtalks was the teacher-organizer-curator Zhumabayev K. The TEDx program also included the following student performances in Kazakh, Russian and English:

– students of 10D class Mukhamedzhanova Darina, Onlasyn Sayazhan;

– students of 10G class Zhursinali Ayim, Konysbayeva Madina;

– student of 12A class Abdezova Aisha;

– student of 12B class Kasym Yermakhan.

All declared speakers told inspirational stories and shared unique ideas, stories about key moments in life. For example, Yernar Zhikibayevich shared a story about how he became the head chef of the most famous teahouse in the city and co-author of a business plan for the establishment of the “Abayas” coffee shop. Especially interesting was the performance of Zhanar Kasymbaevna. She told her story of becoming as an individual and about the importance of self-development, self-education for a person. Burkitbayeva Zhanar Kasymbaevna is a deputy of the city maslikhat, an individual entrepreneur, a restaurateur, and also a laureate of the national award in the field of charity “Altyn Zhurek”.

Thanks to the informative and interesting presentation of the presentations, the positions of the speakers and the originality of the presentation format itself, the TEDx conference aroused genuine interest among the audience.
