October 21, 22 “The Scientific and Practical Center of Physical Culture” of the Administration of Education of the Akimat of Zhambyl Oblast organized the XI Regional Olympics among pupils of institutions subordinate to the management of education, boarding schools, orphanages.
The goal of the Games was propaganda of a healthy lifestyle among adolescents, the development of a system of mass physical culture and sports, the formation of a collaborative environment and the identification of the best educational institutions for sports.
The event took place in the buildings of the Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Taraz and the Boarding School N.Tlendiyev. The program of the Olympics included competitions in several sports, such as futsal, table tennis, presidential all-around, chess, volleyball, arm wrestling, togyzkumalak, asyk atu.
According to the results of the competitions in the team event, the students of the Intellectual School of Taraz took the first place. In second place the team of Kazakh-Turkish Lyceum, boarding school Daryn was awarded the third place according to the results of the points of the general team.
