The Preliminary Stage of International CIS Accreditation Has Been Completed
From February 11 to 13, 2026, the Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Physics and Mathematics in Turkestan hosted the preliminary stage of international accreditation by the Council of International Schools (CIS), in accordance with the updated protocol approved in August 2025.
The event was attended by CIS expert Christopher Maggio.
During the three-day visit, the expert held meetings with the Chairperson of the Board, staff of the Center for Educational Programs branch, members of the Board of Trustees, the school administration, heads of methodological departments, students, parents, and wellbeing specialists.
In addition, he observed classroom lessons, reviewed student projects in the STEM laboratory, and attended an art exhibition organized by students living in the dormitory.
As a result of the meetings, four priority areas for the school’s development were identified, and a draft plan for the next stage of accreditation was prepared.
The expert noted that the school meets international standards and provided constructive feedback for its further development.
