From August 12 to 15, at the Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Physics and Mathematics in Taraz, a training seminar was organized for staff of support schools in Zhambyl region within the framework of the KiVa international anti-bullying program.

Developed at the University of Turku, Finland, the KiVa program is recognized worldwide as one of the most effective methods of preventing bullying among schoolchildren.

During the four-day seminar, participants studied the theoretical foundations of the program, discussed its core principles, and explored possibilities for adapting it to the school environment. At the end of the training, participants received KiVa certificates and will now begin implementing the program in their schools.

The seminar included both lectures and practical sessions. Teachers examined effective bullying prevention strategies, learned how to apply the Finnish program’s tools in their daily practice, and engaged in experience sharing. Participants also analyzed real-life cases and developed practical solutions.
