Úmit Startup Officially Granted a Patent: Kazakhstan’s First Interactive Mouthguard for Controlling Digital Devices and Wheelchairs
After nearly a year of waiting, inspections, and technical evaluations, we are proud to announce that the Úmit startup has officially received a patent from the National Institute of Intellectual Property of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
This document is more than just a piece of paper — it is proof that an idea has turned into a real, life-changing technology. The patent confirms the technical validity of the device and its effectiveness in solving real-world problems. The project has successfully passed official expert review and has been recognized as a complete, ready-for-production product.
This marks a historic moment: for the first time, students of the Nazarbayev Intellectual School have been granted a patent for an invention of this level. Úmit is not just a concept — it is a vital, transformative technology supported by technical schematics, formulas, and a full engineering foundation.
From now on, the technology is legally protected and ready for large-scale manufacturing. This is a major step forward for the field of inclusive technologies in Kazakhstan.
