Medical Service

The medical block is located on the first floor of the school, in a separate block. It consists of 7 rooms: a children’s reception room, a vaccination room, a room for medical waste, a dietary nurse’s office, a storage for medicines, 2 isolation rooms, one isolation room is for patients suspected of having infectious diseases, the second is intended for children with somatic diseases. All rooms meet sanitary requirements. They have sufficient equipment and medicines to provide medical care to students.

Every five years medical workers undergo qualification testing and confirm their specialist certificate. To improve the knowledge they take professional development courses. Medical service activities • outpatient appointments-daily, on the basis of which medical and pre-medical care is provided as needed • organization and control of preventive examinations once a year • fluorographic examination of teenagers aged 15-18 once a year • carrying out preventive vaccinations according to the vaccination calendar of the Republic of Kazakhstan • timely health improvement of children registered with the dispensary twice a year • formation of health groups and physical education groups the first week of September and after the medical examination.

Children’s nutrition is carried out according to a prospective menu. When compiling, age characteristics and needs of a growing organism are taken into account. Organization of meals • Daily quality and safety control of food and food products. The results of quality control and shelf life of products are recorded in the food quality control log • Control of delivery of food raw materials to the food block, checking of quality certificates constantly. • The fortification of dishes is regularly conducted with registration in the log • Food is checked daily for taste and shelf life of finished products, registered in the finished product log • Daily inspection of the food department employees with the registration of the results in the health registration log • To control the quality of food, a Commission has been established, it consists of representatives of the school administration and parents of students. The Commission conducts a monthly inspection and makes suggestions and comments.

Sanitary-educational work is aimed at forming a healthy lifestyle, preventing diseases, increasing the working capacity and activity of students. According to the plan, talks and classes are held on the prevention of infectious diseases, the prevention of parasitic diseases, first aid for burns, fractures, bleeding, frostbite, bruises. Special attention is paid to the dangers of alcohol, tobacco smoking, and narcotic substances. Urologists and gynecologists on reproductive health and personal hygiene are invited for lectures for teenage children.
