In recent years, the problem of homeless animals has become increasingly relevant in our society. Students of the Nazarbayev Intellectual School in Taldykorgan decided to contribute to solving this problem by organizing an action within the framework of the school social project “Shelter of Hope”. This initiative not only helped stray dogs, but also brought students, teachers and the school community together.
The social project “Shelter of Hope” within the walls of NIS Taldykorgan has been implemented for nine years; it is aimed at feeding homeless pets. At the moment, young volunteers are collaborating with the public association of animal rights activists “Zoo Club”, where they help find owners for cats and dogs, feed them, build booths, and take care of them.
This time, the “Feed a Friend” campaign was conceived as a way to draw attention to the plight of animals at the Phoenix veterinary clinic and help them during the cold winter period.
“We created posters, distributed information on social media and organized meetings with classes to talk about the importance of the action. As a result, within a few weeks it was possible to collect a significant amount of food, which was donated to the clinic, says project activist Denis Drozdov, a 10th grade student.
