10 December 2024 12:52

Students of the Nazarbayev Intellectual School in Taldykorgan became winners of the Pizza Pitch startup project competition, presenting an innovative application for teaching programming on the Arduino platform.

The format of the event turned out to be unusual and exciting, combining business with pleasure. Pizza Pitch was organized by IT-Hub JETISU DIGITAL, which brought together more than 20 participants ready to demonstrate their ideas. Each participant was given only 3 minutes to perform, after which a siren sounded, emphasizing the dynamism of the competition.

The NIS Taldykorgan team, consisting of 11th grade students - Auelbay Aisultan, Akymetuly Ansazhan, Zhailau Abay and Bauyrzhanuly Akarys - presented their unique development to the jury.

“This is an Arduino training course that we created in a game format. Players must complete tasks by assembling a robot from the parts provided. Our game can integrate elements of various objects, and in this case we focused on robotics. Our application will help schoolchildren learn new knowledge with interest and gain motivation to learn,” said the developers.

As a result of the competition, the NIS team was awarded a cash certificate in the amount of 100 thousand tenge, which was a significant achievement for young startupers. And also another team of the Intellectual School represented by Yesimbek Arnur and Ajden Alikhan received a cash certificate in the amount of 50 thousand tenge.

“Today’s event is an informal platform for our startups where they can share their IT developments. We strive to unite the talented youth of the Zhetisu region in one space where people can study, work together, make acquaintances and attend events,” said Talgat Ablaev, director of IT-Hub, in his interview.
