27 November 2024 12:35
A student of the Nazarbayev Intellectual School of the city of Taldykorgan, Akzhol Bolat, organized the city Olympiad “OYLA” for students in grades 5-6 of secondary schools. This unique event attracted more than 130 young intellectuals who competed for the title of “Best” in five subjects: mathematics, natural science, Kazakh, Russian and English.
“The idea of holding the Olympics came to me and my like-minded people,” shares Akzhol. “We created the assignments ourselves and wanted to create a platform where the guys could demonstrate their knowledge and skills. The Olympics are always a challenge, and we wanted to give students the opportunity to feel the spirit of competition. Many of them plan to enter Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools, and this event should inspire them to prepare for the competitive selection.
The Olympiad participants faced a variety of tasks that allowed them to demonstrate not only their academic abilities, but also their creative approach to problem solving. Ersultan Sagyntay, a 5th grade student at secondary school No. 10, decided to test his knowledge in mathematics. He already has prizes in such Olympiads as “Altyn Saka” and the city subject Olympiad.
Based on the results of the OYLA Olympiad, the winners in each subject were determined, as well as the teams that won prizes. I place went to secondary school No. 9, second place went to school No. 5 named after M. Lomonosov, and third place went to secondary school-gymnasium No. 1 named after Abai. The winners and runners-up were awarded valuable gifts, which became a pleasant addition to their success and an incentive for future achievements.
It is impossible not to mention the significant support provided by Zhusan Bank by sponsoring the Olympiad. Thanks to him, an atmosphere of celebration and fun was created, where students could not only show their knowledge, but also interact with each other, learning a lot of new things.
