Within the framework of the NIS birge okiyk project, librarians of the Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Taldykorgan organized an event dedicated to the works of famous Kazakh writers Berdibek Sokpakbayev "Ana zhuregi" and Sherkhan Murtaza "Nana's Boarding School". Students of grades 7 and 8 actively discussed books, shared their thoughts and impressions using interactive techniques such as "Wordwall". Reading is an important tool for shaping a person and understanding the world around them. The students noted that the works of Sokpakbaev and Murtaza helped them to better understand complex topics such as family, love, devotion and social issues. "Reading these books made me think about how important it is to value your loved ones. I realized that family is not only a blood bond, but also support in difficult times," Arsen Niet, a student of the 8th grade, shared his opinion. Alikhan Aubakirov noted: "At Nana's Boarding School, I saw how difficult it can be for children who grow up without parents. It made me respect my family more and realize that not everyone has this opportunity." Denmark Taubaldieva added: "These books have opened my eyes to the social problems that people face. I realized that each of us can make a difference if we show care and kindness to others." Thus, the event became not only a platform for discussing literary works, but also an important step in the formation of socially responsible citizens. The students realized that reading helps to develop empathy and critical thinking, which in turn contributes to their personal growth and understanding of the complexities of life. Reading is really the key to understanding the world around us.
