27 February 2025 19:14

The Pedagogical hackathon "Edcathon" was held at the Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Taldykorgan. An event dedicated to high-quality education and innovative pedagogical solutions. This is a unique platform for sharing experiences and generating new ideas. Ravil Ramazanov, a computer science teacher and one of the organizers of the Russian hackathon, noted that the new competition format is an opportunity to share ideas, solutions, and unite teams in order to conduct in-depth research and provide high-quality training. Eight teams presented their cases on solving topical issues. One of them is an "Inspiring teacher—mentor and leader." During the survey, students found out that they value not only the professional qualities of teachers, but also their personal characteristics, such as inspiration, enthusiasm and creativity. Many students in grades 8-9 show low motivation to study, being distracted by gadgets and computer games. The team of teachers identified several reasons, including a lack of intrinsic motivation and the dominance of digital entertainment. As a solution, the integration of lessons with gamification elements was proposed. Another case is "Reflection is the key to growth and development." Teachers have noticed that students are not always able to analyze their mistakes. As a result of the survey, 83 students found out that it is difficult for them to assess their strengths and weaknesses. The method proposed by the teachers consists of completing short tasks and receiving feedback. Viktor Sosin, the headmaster of the school, stressed the importance of teamwork and active interaction in the pedagogical culture, urging not to be afraid of mistakes and boldly try new approaches. "Every teacher is a leader of change," he said. The hackathon was an important step towards introducing innovative methods into the educational process, opening up new horizons for teachers and students.
