28 February 2025 18:46
Young inventors of Nazarbayev Intellectual School Taldykorgan won prizes at the republican contest of scientific projects "Daryn", which was held in Aktobe. About 500 projects of students from secondary schools in the country in various fields, including information systems, science and technology, applied mathematics, the study of historical monuments of Kazakhstan and environmental protection, took part in the competition. The school's students won two silver and one bronze medals. Akzhol Bolat and Ramil Imashev presented a research paper in the section "Environmental Protection", having studied the physico-chemical composition and sorption properties of natural sorbents of Zhetysu Alatau. Their project has shown that these sorbents can be used to purify drinking and wastewater. The project took the 2nd place. Adeli Alchimbayeva and Diana Khasimova have developed a robot for sorting containers in the open ocean. — Ships often face delays due to the lack of full cargo at the loading port, which affects the timing and efficiency of logistics. Manufacturers, wishing to ship goods quickly, are forced to wait for the arrival of the right vessel, which leads to downtime and additional costs. The solution is to use an automatic logistics terminal, which is located on the high seas, at the nodal points of intersection of maritime trade routes. Our project is a robotic crane with a neural network that recognizes containers, their labeling and purpose, automatically moves them and puts them in an empty place along the ship and terminal," the young designers told in more detail. According to the results of the competition, the development of female students in the Computer Science section took 3rd place. In the section "Earth and Space Science", Yedige Bolatbekuly and Ali Kasim presented a prototype robot for exploring caves on Mars. The project includes a system of two robots, where the large robot serves as a descent platform, and the small one as a research device with a complex of sensors. Their project was awarded the 2nd place, emphasizing the importance of exploring caves as potential shelters for astronauts and the possibility of detecting alien life. Thus, the young inventors of NIS Taldykorgan demonstrated a high level of scientific thinking and creativity, becoming the real stars of the Daryn competition.
