The school library is a crucial part of the school infrastructure, serving as a cultural and informational center within the school and a fundamental component of the educational process. Continuous progress and development are essential aspects of the functioning of school libraries. A modern school library is not merely a repository that lends and receives books. Contemporary realities indicate that readers now seek not only books but also opportunities.
At the forefront is not the serving, but the creative and integrating role of the library. The modern school library is directly related to the development of cognitive, intellectual, moral, and spiritual qualities of the student. The school librarian contributes to the development of critical thinking, information literacy, and research skills among students. In the libraries of Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools, advanced practices from school libraries in the USA, Finland, and South Korea are being implemented. School libraries are acquiring a new identity—open and appealing to the reader. |

Providing access to educational resources in the form of electronic libraries, libraries of digital educational resources.
| Collecting, accumulating, and processing information and delivering it to users. Conducting extracurricular activities based on information sources available in the library. |
The library collection of the school library is formed in accordance with the NIS Programme, taking into account the analysis of the publishing market and international experience in library collection development. This is to provide students and teachers of the Intellectual Schools with literature and electronic databases that meet all the requirements of the modern educational process. When forming the collections, several factors are taken into consideration: the needs of the school curriculum, the age and language characteristics of the students, and reader preferences. The total book collection comprises 27,075 copies of educational, methodological, fiction, additional literature, and periodicals. |

Constant movement forward and development is a necessary aspect of the functioning of school libraries. A modern school library is not a repository that issues and receives books. Modern realities show that the reader now not only needs BOOKS, he needs opportunities.
What comes to the fore is not the servicing, but the creative, integrating, synthesizing role of the library. A modern school library is directly related to the development of cognitive, intellectual, moral, and spiritual qualities of a student’s personality. The school librarian helps students develop critical thinking, information and functional literacy, and research skills.
