The “Strong Family” program for children aged 10-14 was created by the School of Health and Social Care at Oxford Brookes University, United Kingdom. This program consists of 7 parts of training, and its main goal is to reduce the number of family factors that lead to behavioral disorders in adolescents, as well as to promote the development of warm and trusting relationships between children and their parents or guardians.
During the first session, parents and children got to know each other better and discussed how to support the goals and dreams of their children, expanded their understanding of love, and the value of boundaries. In general, both parents and children noted that participating in the first “Strong Family” session provided a lot of useful information, practical skills, and greatly contributed to the cohesion of the class community.
