"TEDx NIS" club

The TEDx NIS club of NIS PhM in Semey was opened in April 2013. This project aims to develop students' research skills, teamwork abilities, public speaking skills, and foster respect for diverse viewpoints and opinions.

Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools, in collaboration with the WikiBilim public foundation, organize TED clubs called "TEDx NIS Club." Through this initiative, students have the unique opportunity to listen to 15-minute lectures from world-class scientists and inventors.

The goal of the TEDx club is to develop pupils' scientific researching skills;  Contribute to the development of critical thinking, respecting different ideas and worldviews. Also help students understand and clearly convey their idea through the improving  of oratorical qualities.

The task of the TEDx NIS club is to find valuable ideas to be exchanged, to speak freely before the public, to be able to prove one’s opinion, briefly convey one’s thought, impressively and passionately speak, talk and exchange opinions, be able to believe in oneself.
