18 December 2024 16:52

Students from the Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Physics and Mathematics in Semey won 3 medals at the XVI Eurasian Olympiad. The Olympiad, organized at the International University of Information Technology (IITU) in Almaty, gathered over 230 participants from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan. The participation of 77 teams from Central Asia in this educational competition highlights the strong interest of youth in information technology and their future in this field.

The students from Semey demonstrated excellent results on the international stage, winning 1 gold and 2 bronze medals. The gold medal was awarded to 11th-grade student Akezhan Askar, while 9th-grade students Arnur Nurgazin and Erkanat Toleubekov took home bronze medals. These achievements are not their first international awards: they have previously won at such informatics Olympiads as EJOI-2024, the "International Zhautykov Olympiad", and "Tuymaada".

Over two days, young informatics developed their programming skills, enhanced their logical and analytical thinking, and applied their knowledge to solve specific tasks.
