Republic Day – national holiday

October 25 is a special holiday that highlights the significance of the independence and sovereignty of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In honor of this national holiday, on October 24, a unified educational hour titled “Zhasa, Zhayna Kazagym Elim Menin” was held at NIS Semey.

The organizing teachers and curators, together with other educators, prepared various activities aimed at explaining the country’s history and the importance of its independence to the students. Depending on the age groups, quizzes and creative tasks were conducted, videos about Kazakhstan's struggle and achievements on the path to sovereignty were shown, and patriotic songs were performed.

On this day, a flash mob titled “Ұлы дала мұрагері” (Heir of the Great Steppe), organized by the dombrists of the Nazarbayev Intellectual School, took place at the Avenue shopping center. Each melody of the dombra created an atmosphere of festivity and unity, allowing the audience to feel the beauty of Kazakh culture.

Republic Day is a day that reminds every Kazakhstani of the value of independence. This holiday teaches future generations to respect the history and cultural heritage of their country, to love it, and to strengthen national unity.
