An Olympiad for math and computer science teachers was held in the region

A regional Olympiad for teachers of mathematics and informatics was held at the NIS Semey.

The Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Semey, in collaboration with the “Regional Innovation and Methodological Center” of the Abay Regional Education Department, organized a traditional Olympiad aimed at developing the professional competence of teachers and motivating them toward high achievements.

At the opening of the event, school director Narken Burkenov and Alfiya Nigmatullina, deputy director of the regional innovation and methodological center, emphasized that Olympiads and competitions foster teachers' aspirations for new knowledge and wished all participants good luck.

This year, the Olympiad, held for the fourth time in mathematics, marks the first participation of computer science teachers in the competition. A total of 104 teachers from districts and cities were selected for the regional stage, with 54 competing in mathematics and 50 in computer science.

The jury comprised mathematics and computer science teachers, winners of last year's Olympiad, and representatives from the regional methodological center. At the end of the event, the best teachers were awarded special certificates.
