25 September 2024 09:32

The global conference WALS-2024, dedicated to lesson research and teacher preparation, is taking place in Astana. Teachers from NIS Semey—Nurgazy Tursunghazin, Anar Tayapbergenova, Aliya Andakayeva, Gulzhan Musina, Dinara Chkambaeva, Albina Ishmukhmetova, and Anar Sovietova—are participating in this international event.

The conference, gathering around 700 teachers from 27 countries, focuses on a strategic trend in modern pedagogy: “Lesson studies: Aspiring to better learning and teaching.”

Teachers are participating in symposiums, poster sessions, and workshops with world-class experts, providing them with opportunities to exchange experiences and learn about new teaching methods. It is important to note that the WALS conference has been held since 2006 in countries such as Singapore, Japan, China, the United Kingdom, and others, establishing itself as a vital platform for the educational community over the years.
