Teachers of the region master new debate technologies

A regional seminar on “New Approaches to Organizing Debate Clubs in the Context of the World School Debate Format” was held at the NIS Basic School of Physics and Mathematics in Semey. Teachers from Kokpekty, Aksuat, Shulbinsk, Ayagoz, and several schools in the regional center participated in the event.

The training was conducted by Asel Duisenbaeva and Daniyar Kemeshev, leaders of the debate club at our school, as well as Asel Tokcharayeva, a teacher from Secondary School No. 16 named after Tөleubai Amanov of Semey. Notably, in August, these teachers enhanced their skills at a national training organized by the "OzgerTeam" fund in collaboration with the “Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools.”

The workshop covered the principles of developing public speaking skills, new formats used in world debate championships, and the challenges of creating debate clubs. Practical classes and various workshops were organized for the participants, focusing on thematic analysis, case development, and the consolidation of the basic rules of intellectual competitions. These events provided a valuable opportunity for teachers to improve their public speaking skills and share their experiences.

We hope that, in the future, each participant will create new debate formats and contribute to the development of the debate movement.
