23 October 2026 17:50
Nazarbayev Intellectual School in Semey hosted a charity Vienna Ball that brought together art, tradition, and a shared commitment to helping those in need. The evening marked the culmination of a two-month charitable initiative aimed at supporting children, promoting social responsibility, and nurturing a spirit of compassion among the younger generation.
In his opening remarks, school director Yerbol Kainarbayev highlighted the importance of such initiatives and expressed his gratitude to the teachers, parents, students, and all members of the school community who had contributed to this shared cause.
A charity auction was one of the highlights of the evening. Guests had the opportunity to purchase handmade items created by teachers and students from the Sheber club. The items attracted considerable interest, and each purchase offered another opportunity to support the charitable initiative.
Dance and musical performances added to the festive atmosphere. Around 80 couples took to the dance floor to perform the waltz, showcasing grace, coordination, and the elegance of classical dance. The program also featured musical performances by students, including vocal performances and piano pieces.
Thanks to the charitable events, three children with special needs received financial assistance. The initiative will continue: in the lead-up to the New Year, the organizers plan to extend support to two more families in need.
The ball was made possible through the support of the school's partners and the collective efforts of the school community. The school administration extends its sincere gratitude to its sponsors, Espresso Day and Erudit Group, as well as to the teachers who organized and coordinated the event and everyone who contributed to preparing and hosting the evening.
The Charity Vienna Ball at NIS Semey demonstrated how art can bring people together for a meaningful cause and how collective efforts can translate into tangible support for those in need.
