One of the traditional charity events — a journey to the land of great people — took place at the Nazarbayev Intellectual School dormitory in Semey.

The main purpose of the journey was to enrich the students’ spiritual world, broaden their understanding of the history and culture of their native region, and introduce them to the lives and works of three great figures of Chingistau — Abay Kunanbayev, Shakarym Kudaiberdiev, and Mukhtar Auezov.

Early in the morning, the bus departed from Semey and headed towards the sacred land of Zhidebay. Ahead lay a special encounter with the history, culture, and spiritual heritage of the Great Steppe.

For the students, the journey was not merely an educational excursion, but an opportunity to connect with the roots of their national culture, visit places associated with these great thinkers and writers, and gain a deeper understanding of their contribution to the spiritual development of the Kazakh people.

While visiting historical and cultural sites, the students learned about the lives and works of Abay, Shakarym, and Mukhtar Auezov, became acquainted with the rich heritage of their homeland, and came to appreciate the importance of preserving national values for future generations.

The journey was particularly meaningful for the new seventh-graders, who had the opportunity not only to learn more about the history of their native region, but also to spend time together, get to know one another, and feel part of a close-knit dormitory community.
