In Semey, the NIS RUN 2026 family marathon, organized by Nazarbayev Intellectual School, was held in celebration of Family Day.

The event took place along the central embankment of the Irtysh River and brought together students, school staff, and their family members. Participants competed in 1- and 3-kilometer runs, with more than 400 people registering for the marathon.

Before the race, participants took part in a group warm-up. Families then set off on the course, encouraging and supporting one another throughout the run.

The marathon was organized in line with the NIS values of “Family Values and Traditions” and “Health and Well-being.” The event aimed to strengthen family bonds, promote physical activity, and foster a culture of healthy living.

NIS RUN 2026 was more than just a sporting event — it was an opportunity for families to spend meaningful time together, support one another, and strengthen family traditions.

The NIS RUN 2026 was held simultaneously at all Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools across Kazakhstan, bringing together the NIS community through sport, family, and shared values.
