NIS Semey Student Receives Copyright for AI-Powered Financial Forecasting Platform

Yerzat Mametaev, an 11th-grade student at the Nazarbayev Intellectual School in Semey, has received copyright protection for his research project “FinPredict” — an intelligent platform designed to predict stock prices using artificial intelligence technologies.

The project combines advanced machine learning methods with financial market analysis tools. To forecast stock prices, Yerzat employed SARIMAX, Prophet, and LSTM models, enabling the analysis of market trends and the generation of predictions based on large datasets.

The platform also features technical analysis tools, real-time market news tracking, smart notifications about price fluctuations, and monitoring of Kazakhstani stocks.

According to the young researcher, the primary goal of “FinPredict” is to create an accessible and free digital tool that promotes financial literacy and encourages interest in financial market analysis. As part of the project, Yerzat developed a Python-based web platform adapted for both international and Kazakhstani stock markets.

The project has already received high recognition from the academic and professional community. “FinPredict” won first place in the Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools Online Research Project Competition and also earned first place at the U. Zholdasbekov International Competition for Research Projects in Mathematics and Mechanics for 11th–12th grade students.
