On the eve of Independence Day, a special meeting dedicated to the events of Zheltoksan in 1986 was held for 9th-grade students. The guest of honor was Elmira Zhurcinbekkyzy, head of the Abai Oblast Zheltoksan-86 Public Association and a member of both the Union of Journalists of Kazakhstan and the International Federation of Journalists.

As a direct participant in the December events, who took to the streets at the age of 17, Elmira Zhurcinbekkyzy shared her personal memories of those days and spoke about the courage and civic stance of Kazakh youth who stood up for justice and independence.

Her vivid account left a deep impression on the students. At the conclusion of the meeting, Elmira Zhurcinbekkyzy emphasized that Zheltoksan remains a symbol of national dignity, responsibility, and unyielding spirit, urging young people to cherish their independence and recognize their role in shaping the future of the country.
