Our school teacher, Saniya Issakhanova, the coordinator of the NIS/SHARE project, took part in the CARN (Collaborative Action Research Network) 2025 international conference, where she presented her experience and research findings. The event was held in Austria at the University of Klagenfurt and brought together researchers and education specialists from around the world.
At this prestigious international platform, Saniya Issakhanova spoke alongside Professor Colleen McLaughlin from the Faculty of Education at the University of Cambridge and the lead expert of the NIS/SHARE project. The speakers presented a joint report titled “From Insight to Action: Advancing School Development through Enquiry and Evidence”, which focused on school development through research activities and the implementation of evidence-based approaches.
The study was conducted within the NIS/SHARE project, which encourages teachers to engage in action research to address pressing school issues and strengthen a culture of evidence-based decision-making.
“Presenting the research findings at the CARN 2025 international conference was an invaluable experience for us. It was especially an honor that project coach Colleen McLaughlin chose our team to present at such a large-scale professional platform. This is the result of the collective work of my entire authoring team,” noted Saniya Issakhanova.
Since last year, this initiative has been implemented by a team of educators: Saniya Issakhanova, Symbat Mazhikov, Nurgazy Tursungazin, Aidar Kurmanbayev and Narken Burkenov.
