On the basis of Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Semey city a seminar-training for teachers of reference schools of Abay region on KiVa program was held.
During four days, teachers from Ayagoz District “City Multipurpose Kazakh Grammar School”, Aksuat District “Kozhageldy Batyr Secondary School” and Zharma District “Mayakovsky Secondary School” received not only new information about bullying and its main forms, but also strengthened their knowledge through games of the Finnish program.
I continue to deepen my knowledge about KiVa anti-bullying program, starting with its history and importance, and universal actions. My impressions of the project are very positive. The Finnish program will prove to be very useful in the fight against bullying, which remains relevant for school teachers, educational psychologists and students. I am confident that our efforts will bear fruit,” said Akmaral Ulybaeva, a social pedagogue at the Mayakovsky Secondary School in Zharma District.
The teaching staff trained for the program consists of Asel Duisenbayeva, deputy director of the Nazarbayev Intellectual School in Semey, Anar Adamzatova, a psychologist, and Aizhan Akhmetova and Kulyash Naymanova teachers-organizers-curators.
The KiVa anti-bullying program, which will be piloted in the new academic year, has been implemented at the University of Turku in Finland since 2006. The successful project is now included in the educational programs.
