Akezhan Askar, a student at the Nazarbayev Intellectual School in Semey, won a silver medal at the 36th International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI 2025), which took place in Sucre, Bolivia.
This year, about 400 students from 98 countries took part in the prestigious competition. Participants were given complex algorithmic tasks to solve, for which they developed software solutions that were evaluated by an automatic system.
It is worth noting that Kazakhstan has been participating in the IOI since 1999 and in recent years has consistently been among the countries with the strongest teams. This achievement is a source of pride and highlights the high level of training of our students.
We congratulate Akezhan on this outstanding result and wish him further success and new achievements!
