As part of the "Learn Together with NIS" project, our school held a unique literature lesson. This time, students thoroughly analyzed Sherkhan Murtaza's novella "Internat Nany" using the "World Café" method, which allowed them to explore the work from a new perspective.

The lesson began with an interactive quiz, where students recalled the plot of the story and enriched their understanding of the main ideas and characters' personalities. Afterward, the class was divided into 15 thematic groups, with each group discussing a specific topic and writing down their thoughts. The main topics of discussion included: the image of Altai, the symbolic meaning of bread, friendship and justice, the role of caregivers, resilience in the face of difficulties, the importance of hope and memories, and the real portrayal of the post-war period.

The students delved deeper into the social, moral, and psychological issues raised in Sherkhan Murtaza’s "Internat Nany" and realized their connection with modern society. Additionally, discussing the themes and actions of the characters helped students internalize important life values.

The main advantage of the "World Café" method is that it provides every student the opportunity to actively participate, express their opinions, listen to others, and work collaboratively in a group.

At the end of the lesson, the students engaged in a collective discussion and shared their thoughts. During the feedback session, many students mentioned how deeply the story affected them, with the fate of Altai and the true portrayal of his friends leaving a strong impression.

These gatherings not only give adolescents the chance to analyze literary works but also help them draw life lessons and establish spiritual connections with their parents.
