The international computer project competition, INFOMATRIX-ASIA 2025, was held in Astana. Over the course of three days, 600 students from both near and far participated in this educational event. The participants competed in nine different sections: artificial intelligence programming, artificial intelligence hackathon, computer art, hardware management, short films, applied sciences, Arduino hackathon, LEGO relay race, and startup projects.

At this competition, which gathered the best IT students from across Asia, the innovative projects presented by the students of Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Physics and Mathematics in Semey did not go unnoticed. In the AI Hackathon category, Alemzhan Akmetzhanov took first place with the project "Recipe Share," while Amirali Amir and Yeldar Muratuly claimed second place with their project “Qoldas,” which is aimed at effective time management using artificial intelligence.

“In today’s fast-paced world, effective time management is more important than ever. We decided to create a unique mobile application using artificial intelligence that helps users properly plan each day and avoid overload. We are confident that this app will reduce stress levels and help maintain a balance between work and personal life,” said the creators of the Qoldas project.

In the Startups section, 11th-grader Erasyl Bazarbayev took second place with his project, math12.studio - Your AI-powered Math Tutor. This online platform is designed to help students quickly solve math problems and enhance their knowledge of the subject.

Additionally, all four young inventors received full scholarships to study at Gumarbek Daukeev University of Energy and Communications in Almaty.
