Republican Science Project Competition: NIS Kyzylorda Team Wins Four Prizes

24 February 2025 16:48

Students of Nazarbayev Intellectual School in Kyzylorda won four prizes at the Republican Science Project Competition in the natural sciences and mathematics category, which took place in Aktobe.

Gold medals were awarded to Ayazhan Turebek and Adilkhan Zhanturin for developing an interactive simulator designed to restore motor skills in stroke patients. Another gold medal was won by Elaman Mirzakhan for his Dabyl device, which detects harmful PM2.5 particles in the air.

The silver medal was claimed by Nadira Atymtai and Dara Saktapbergen, who developed the RauSAT 2.0 nanosatellite. Their project can analyze environmental parameters such as illumination, pressure, temperature, and altitude while also controlling the orientation of artificial satellites in space.

The bronze medal was awarded to Gulim Bolatkzy and Yerasyl Aidarbek for developing a long-distance data transmission device using laser radiation. Their innovative model opens new opportunities for space communication, enabling high-speed and precise data transmission.

"Radio waves are widely used for long-distance data transmission, especially in space. However, over large distances, they weaken and experience delays, reducing their efficiency. Laser technology can solve this problem by improving the speed and accuracy of data transmission," explained Yerasyl.

It is noteworthy that all Kyzylorda teams returned home with awards. The winning students were mentored by a young computer science teacher, Adilzhan Nauan.
