CIS: Improving the Quality of Education

15 April 2024 14:03

The Nazarbayev Intellectual School in Kyzylorda is currently undergoing reaccreditation by the Council of International Schools (CIS).

Experts from Germany, Canada, Italy, Qatar, and international schools in our country have arrived at NIS Priaralie to evaluate the alignment of school practices and educational process with globally recognized standards.

On the first introductory day, the CIS team familiarized themselves with the school community and its material and technical facilities. In the nanobiotechnology and NIS Engineering labs students demonstrated their scientific projects and IT innovations.

The foreign guests actively participated in an ethnic exhibition, where students showcased the customs and traditions of nations celebrating Nauryz. Their engagement included playing traditional games, observing the craftsmanship of felt products, and experiencing the preparation of traditional zhent delicacies.

Throughout the week, the experts will engage in discussions with students, parents, and working groups, evaluating the school across nine key standards: “Mission and Direction,” “Management and Leadership,” “Curriculum,” “Teaching and Assessment,” “Well-being,” “Staff,” “School Premises and Facilities,” “Community and Family Partnership,” and “Boarding Facilities.” Additionally, they will attend classes, extracurricular activities, and sports events to gain a comprehensive understanding of the school’s operations.

It is worth noting that NIS in Kyzylorda received its first certificate of international accreditation in 2018.

CIS is a recognized organization for promoting the highest standards and latest achievements in education. Presently, it encompasses 911 schools and 622 universities from over 100 countries worldwide.
