Pivotal schools: rural school teachers trained at NIS

Teachers from the Aral, Karmakshy and Zhanakorgan districts of Kyzylorda underwent an internship at the Intellectual School of the region and received methodological support.

Teachers from the Lyceum School No. 62 named after Zh. Abdirashov in the Aral District, the Lyceum School No. 250 named after T. Komekbaev in the Karmakshy District, and the secondary school No. 286 in the Zhanakorgan District received training conducted within the framework of the project “Development of the potential of support schools in rural areas.” Teachers from the rural school attended open lessons in science, mathematics, social sciences, humanities, art and physical education. During the observation, participants added pedagogical baskets with lesson planning methods, types of research into the educational process, discussed ways to integrate digital technologies in the learning process, effective ways to plan tasks and assessment tools in accordance with educational goals.In addition, as part of the transfer of NIS experience to secondary schools, library staff from 22 secondary and innovative schools also took a refresher course. The library service of the Intellectual School organized practical work for its colleagues on the topic “Current forms of functional literacy in the school library,” also introduced them to the main projects aimed at improving students’ book reading skills.
