Poetry in Pictures

A drawing competition based on the works of the poet, writer, and talented playwright Saken Seifullin was held as part of the “Poets of the Great Steppe” project at the Intellectual School of Kyzylorda.
Students read poems about the beautiful nature of the Kazakh land and their homeland, national identity, and values. They drew pictures based on their impressions and participated in the competition. At the end of the competition, the first place was awarded to Temirlan Rustembek, a student from class 8 “B.” Second place went to Inaiyat Aliakbar, a student from class 8 “A,” and Karakat Aldabergen, a student from class 9 “D.” Third place was shared by Zhannur Abi, a student from class 7 “B,” Aliya Tolepbergen, a student from class 8 “B,” and Ademi Alseit, a student from class 8 “C.”

“In the poem ‘Bizdіn zhaqta’ by Saken Seifullin, he describes the vast Kazakh steppes, picturesque nature, and national identity. I am proud to be a descendant of a nation with beautiful nature, and hospitable and friendly people,” shared the winner of the competition, Temirlan Rustembek.
