Literary Event at NIS Kyzylorda Explores A. Altai’s “Centaur”

At the Nazarbayev Intellectual School in Kyzylorda, a literary event was held as part of the “NIS, Birge Oqyik!” project, focusing on “Centaur” by Kazakh writer A. Altai.

Students worked in groups using the “Keyword Hexagon” method and close reading techniques to analyze key episodes and the central image of the Centaur. During the discussion, participants concluded that the character symbolizes an environmental catastrophe and its consequences for humanity.

At the end of the session, students presented and defended their group projects, offering their own interpretations of the issue supported by well-reasoned arguments.

The “NIS Birge Oqyik” project aims to foster a culture of thoughtful reading, develop analytical thinking, and raise environmental awareness among students.
