Military-Sports Tournament “Erlikke Tagzym” Held at NIS Kyzylorda

A military-sports tournament titled “Erlikke Tagzym” was held at the Nazarbayev Intellectual School in Kyzylorda, dedicated to Victory Day and Defender of the Fatherland Day.

Seven platoons of 11th-grade students took part in the competition. The event aimed to foster patriotism, basic military skills, responsibility, teamwork, and to promote a healthy lifestyle.

Honored guests included veterans of the Afghan War — Yerkin Otarov, Kurmangazy Abzhaliev, and Nuradin Beketayev — who addressed the participants and wished them success.

The tournament program featured several stages: assembling and disassembling a mock Kalashnikov rifle, a commanders’ contest, rifle shooting, first aid response, drill training, and a patriotic song performance.

According to the results:

1st place — Grade 11 “E”

2nd place — Grade 11 “B”

3rd place — Grade 11 “D”

“Events like this help shape young people’s sense of civic responsibility, respect for national history, and readiness to serve their country,” noted veteran Nuradin Beketayev.
