12 December 2025 12:10
At the latest READx conference, students and teachers shared their impressions of books that inspired them.
Balnur Zhaksybay, a 12th-grade student, presented A. Cronin’s novel The Citadel, highlighting its main message: staying true to one’s principles and being ready to fight against injustice.
11th-grader Nurbakyt Sagilatova spoke about Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s The Little Prince, focusing on the encounter with the Fox — a moment that reminds readers of responsibility and the value of human connections.
English teacher Kamilla Klyshbekova presented Fredrik Backman’s A Man Called Ove, emphasizing the scene where the protagonist opens up to the world for the first time — a symbol of change and the kindness hidden behind toughness.
Mentor Nurzhan Bisenbayev shared Mukhtar Magauin’s I, raising questions about self-discovery and national identity.
Once again, READx proved to be a platform where reading discoveries spark lively dialogue and inspire new journeys into the world of books.
