A professional development seminar for homeroom teachers and educators titled “Ways to Foster Students’ Research Skills” was held at NIS Kyzylorda. The session was led by Bagdat Tulepbergenova, teacher-librarian, who completed advanced training in “School Libraries as Centers for Student Well-being” under the guidance of Rajen Muno, an expert from the Singapore University of Management Library.
During the seminar, participants explored how artificial intelligence tools can be integrated into teaching and learning, learned effective strategies for organizing students’ research activities, and practiced designing high-quality research prompts using structured frameworks and logical operators.
In the practical session, educators took part in the interactive activity “Artificial Intelligence: Fact or Myth”, where they applied new knowledge in real-life educational scenarios.
The seminar provided a valuable platform for professional exchange, helping teachers expand their competencies in supporting students’ research, critical thinking, and inquiry-based learning.
