Gaukhar Marat, a student of NIS Kyzylorda, developed an educational board game titled “Altyn Taq” (“The Golden Throne”), designed to help players explore the era of the Kazakh Khanate.

The author’s project aims to popularize the legacy of Kazakh khans and foster students’ interest in the history of their homeland. The game enables participants not only to memorize historical facts but also to analyze, compare, and reflect on the key events and figures of that period.

The project was created under the guidance of history teacher Aigul Zeynulla and serves as a wonderful example of creative collaboration between a student and her mentor.

Gaukhar’s work was presented at the network competition “Tarihi Tagylym”, dedicated to the 560th anniversary of the Kazakh Khanate, where it earned first place.

The competition was organized by the Olympiad and Competition Committee of the Association of History and Law Teachers of Kazakhstan within the NIS Ustaz network.
