Poets of the Great Steppe: A Literary Evening Dedicated to Kadyr Myrzaliev

The school dormitory organized a literary evening dedicated to the work of the outstanding Kazakh poet and People’s Writer of Kazakhstan, Kadyr Myrzaliev, who would have turned 90 this year.
The event was held within the framework of the project “Poets of the Great Steppe” and aimed to foster the spiritual and moral development of young people while cultivating students’ interest in literature.
The evening gathered true admirers of poetry. The honored guests included Duisenbek Ayashuly, poet, member of the Union of Journalists and Writers of Kazakhstan, Honored Worker of Arts of the Republic of Kazakhstan, laureate of the “Turan” award and the “Kurmet” order, as well as Kulzhan Oksikbayeva, teacher of Kazakh language and literature and head of a literary association.
The guests shared their memories of meeting Kadyr Myrzaliev, spoke about his significant contribution to the development of Kazakh poetry, and highlighted the depth, versatility, and spiritual richness of his works.
During the evening, students recited the poet’s verses with expression and performed songs based on his poetry. Their performances conveyed sincere love for the written word, respect for national culture, and pride in the great heritage of Kazakh literature.
Such literary gatherings serve not only as a tribute to a great poet but also as an important part of the spiritual education of youth. Kadyr Myrzaliev’s poetry remains a living source of kindness, honesty, and love for the Motherland, inspiring new generations toward creativity and moral growth.
