“NIS Birge Oqyıq”: Reading and Exploring the Meaning of the Story “Bauyr”

An event dedicated to Marat Kabanbayev’s story “Bauyr” was held in the school library as part of the “NIS Birge Oqyıq” (Let’s Read Together with NIS) project.

The work touches on timeless themes – family bonds, responsibility, and mutual care. It teaches readers to treat loved ones with kindness, value brotherly support, and remember that family unity is a source of strength and stability in every person’s life.

The meeting brought together students of grades 7–8, their parents, curators, and teachers. Using the “Jenga Book” and “Lego Poetry” methods, students compared Kazakh proverbs about family values, described the plot through illustrations in the “StoryPuzzle” format, and took part in an engaging Flippity quiz.

The event took place in an informative and warm atmosphere, giving participants the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the story’s message and reflect on the importance of family in human life.
