A New Academic Year – The Beginning of the Year of Values

Today, Nazarbayev Intellectual School in Kyzylorda held a ceremonial assembly to mark the beginning of the new academic year. The most excited participants were the seventh graders, who entered the school for the first time.

This year, 133 new students have joined the NIS community, bringing the total number of learners to 788. The celebration featured songs dedicated to the school and presentations of educational projects. A symbolic “dialogue” with Abai reminded students that knowledge and hard work lead to success, while respect and mutual understanding make society stronger.

The school’s new principal, Akbar Tusupbayev, delivered a welcome speech, highlighting the achievements of the school community and declaring this academic year as the Year of Values.

“Starting from the 2025–2026 academic year, we are launching a new tradition — dedicating each year to a unifying philosophical concept. This concept will define the main directions of school life: learning, upbringing, project activities, volunteering, and student initiatives. It will integrate both education and personal development,” the principal emphasized.

The celebration concluded with the traditional First Bell ceremony, after which students headed to integrated lessons dedicated to the school’s values.
