Seminar on Innovations in School Libraries

A seminar titled “Innovative Activities of School Libraries in Developing Students’ Reading Literacy” was held at NIS Kyzylorda.

The participants included librarians from both urban and rural hub schools. The seminar featured practical sessions aimed at fostering interest in reading, as well as developing writing and critical literacy skills, along with students' creative thinking.

NIS teacher-librarians presented exercises focused on speed reading techniques using visual perception, game-based methods to enhance writing skills and imagination, and interactive tools for analyzing literary characters. The event concluded with a discussion on the effectiveness and applicability of the presented practices in school library work.

The seminar served as a valuable platform for sharing experiences and implementing innovative formats in the library practices of schools in the region.
