Meruert Bekisheva — Winner of the "Best Mediator Award"

NIS Kyzylorda student Meruert Bekisheva received the Best Mediator Award at the annual AIFC Eurasia 2025 Mediation Competition.

The competition brought together over 60 students from Kazakhstan, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Turkey. The contests followed the standards of the Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution (CEDR, London) and included individual and team challenges conducted in English, aimed at developing effective conflict resolution skills.

The final round took place at the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC). Based on her performance, Meruert received an individual award as well as an internship offer through the AIFC Court and IAC programs.

AIFC Court and IAC are international dispute resolution institutions that provide court and mediation services in accordance with the highest global standards, supporting the development of a business-friendly environment in the Eurasian region.

Meruert Bekisheva is an active member of the school’s English League Debate Club, established on the initiative of English language and literature teacher Kamilla Klyshbekova.
