On August 31, 2026, the school hosted a programme of orientation sessions for teachers in the school assembly hall. The programme focused on current areas of professional development, the integration of artificial intelligence into the educational process, research activities, work with gifted students, and the development of international cooperation.
The programme brought together teachers and trainers to discuss key areas of the school’s development, creating a space for professional dialogue, experience sharing, and exploration of new opportunities.
The programme opened with a session led by A.E. Kalkamanov, entitled “Cognitive Transformation in Education: Implementing Generative Models in the Learning Process.” As part of the “Artificial Intelligence in the Educational Process” track, teachers explored the potential of generative models to transform traditional approaches to teaching and learning and to enhance the organization of educational activities.
During the session “Artificial Intelligence: From Using Ready-Made Tools to Creating Our Own Software Products,” led by A.N. Adekenova, S.N. Peters, and L.V. Ustinova, participants explored the journey from the practical application of existing artificial intelligence tools to the development of their own digital solutions.
A significant part of the programme was dedicated to teachers’ research activities. G.E. Zhukenova focused on the importance of a systematic approach to developing a research culture within the school.
At the session “The Methodology of Pedagogical Research at NIS: How Not to Lose the Results,” led by G.F. Davletgarieva, particular attention was given to organizing pedagogical research and maintaining its practical value.
M.T. Suleymanova conducted the session “International Conferences: Registration and Participation Specifics,” during which teachers had the opportunity to learn about the key aspects of participating in international professional conferences.
At the session led by Sh.S. Zhumabekova and K.S. Artamonova, dedicated to the implementation of the NIS SHARE project, participants discussed the importance of reflection as a valuable tool for improving the effectiveness of the educational process and supporting teachers’ professional development.
The programme concluded with a session led by A.A. Zhuanyshev, entitled “RKNP Sections for the 2026–2027 Academic Year: Names and Content of Research Areas,” dedicated to working with gifted students. During the session, teachers became familiar with the main research areas and the content of the sections planned for the upcoming academic year.
The orientation sessions served as an important platform for professional communication and joint reflection on the priorities of the new academic year. The diverse range of topics brought together issues of digital transformation in education, research culture, international cooperation, and support for talented students.
