Оpen regional chess tournament “Queen's Play"

The Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Petropavlovsk hosted the open regional chess tournament “Queen's Play", dedicated to International Women's Day. The event brought together about 60 young chess players from the city of Petropavlovsk and the districts of the region. Among the participants were both experienced players and kindergarten students, who surprised everyone with their excellent level of training.

The tournament became an important event for the chess community of the region and was held for the second time with the support of the Magnus School Chess club. During the competition, the participants showed their strategic and tactical skills and the will to win.

The winners and prize-winners of the tournament were awarded with diplomas, sweet gifts and cash prizes.

We want to emphasize the importance of developing intellectual games among young people, we want to promote the popularization of chess among girls and prepare strong girls from the region for the national team of Kazakhstan, said Daniyar Ualiev, director of the Nazarbayev Intellectual School in Petropavlovsk.
