A meeting with Shamil Saiev, a professor at the University of Arizona, was held at the Nazarbayev Intellectual School in Petropavlovsk as part of the Smart Thursday project. The Doctor of Sciences in Computational Chemistry shared his expertise and experience with the students, talking about the possibilities that computational chemistry opens up.
Shamil Aliyev told the students about modern achievements in the field of computational chemistry and physics, as well as how this knowledge can be used to solve complex scientific problems. During the meeting, the professor demonstrated the latest techniques for modeling molecular processes and explained how these technologies help scientists develop new materials. For example, today it is possible to manufacture solar panels from organic materials.
The school's students showed keen interest in the professor's story and asked questions about future prospects in science and technology.
